Appearences In Books[]

She appears in Turtlefur's Story as the main character.

Prologue[]

She is being chased by unknown cats, until her mother falls down a hole, and Ravenpaw rescues her.

Chapter One[]

She is seen as Turtlekit, and she opens her eyes. She purrs, and Barley asks what her name is. She tells him her name us Turtlekit. She has a flashback of her naming. She tries to stand up, but due to her being a kit, she collapses back down in her nest.

Ravenpaw tells her his name. Turtlekit remarks the white markings on him, and she starts to walk. Barley compliments her by saying "first steps". Ravenpaw tells Barley she is the best kit ever.

Turtlekit determines that Ravenpaw is about six moons old. She nestles in his paw and falls asleep. She has a dream, but wakes up in relief.

Turtlekit thinks that with Ravenpaw, she will be safe forever. Ravenpaw tells her she will be a good barn cat. She pounces on his tail. She sees a mouse, and decides to catch it. She catches it. Barley purrs, and Turtlekit thinks there's something weird about him. He calls her over, and the chapter ends.

Chapter Two[]

Barley tries to tell them, but he hesitates and tells them to go back to what they were doing. Turtlekit goes over to Ravenpaw, sending specks of dust flying up behind her, much to Barley's annoyance. He snaps at her. Turtlekit just squeals and looks around the barn.

She scents a mouse, and asks Ravenpaw what it is. After he tells her, she catches it, and when she does, she is proud. Barley finally gives her the message. Turtlekit refuses, saying there is nothing special about her. She doesn't understand why Ravenpaw tells Barley he doesn't have to tell her.

Turtlekit ignores Barley when he curls up in his nests and asks Ravenpaw if she did a good job. When Ravenpaw nods, Turtlekit bounces happily. Turtlekit paws at the mouse, and Ravenpaw tells her to eat it. She does so. She remarks that it's good, and asks Ravenpaw if she can have all of it.

He purrs a reply, and starts to dig in. The rest of the day, they have fun. The chapter ends with "but, will it turn into trouble?"

Chapter Three[]

Turtlekit paces around the barn, looking for something to do. She paws at the barn floor, annoyed. Ravenpaw asks her if she wants to have a stroll. She nods.

She pads after Ravenpaw, and observes the high fences. She notes that they trap weird animals, and she wonders if they even are animals. Turtlekit sees animals rolling in the mud, and notes that they are dumb creatures.
